DESCRIPTION:Tournament Description\n\n\nRound Robin format (skill/age) WITH playoffs for Gold/Silver/Bronze for skills Novice (geared for skills 3.0 and under)\, Intermediate (geared for skill 3.5)\, Advanced (geared for skills 4.0 and Above). \nRegister: https://pickleballtournaments.com/tournaments/10th-annual-orcas-island-pickleball-tournament\n\n***Very Important – Ratings (NO DUPR scores reported/DUPR NOT required):\n• Even though DUPR is the only rating listed for public view\, we are using DUPR only as a guideline. All rating systems have their pros and cons. Players will self-rate and we will also be using your previous tournament history as our determinant\n• If you feel that a player is playing out of their skill\, please contact the tournament director. We will then evaluate tournament history and various ratings (including DUPR) to determine if a team needs to play at a different skill. Please be aware that this is a manual process and does not happen automatically\n\nOutdoor play on up to 8 courts on a tennis surface (4 permanent courts / 4 temporary)\n\nPickleball Is Great reserves the right to refuse service at anytime\n\nUsing the X-40 ball\n\n\n\n\nAdditional Information\n\n\nPayment is required to register – Registration $50 includes the 1st event. Second event $20\n\nPartner must register within 7 days or be moved to the waitlist\n\nSaturday\, Aug 22 – Men’s & Women’s Doubles\nSunday\, Aug 23 – Mixed Doubles\n\nFormat:\nALL Round Robin with playoffs for Gold/Silver/Bronze. All games/matches are win by 2\nMost Round Robins are 1 to 15 but may change based on the number of players in the event. If an event has 7 or 8 teams\, round-robin matches will be 1 to 11 by 2.\nTop 4 teams go to the playoff (Lead in matches are 1 to 15 with the Gold Match with the option of 2/3-11w/2 or 1 to 15.
