DESCRIPTION:Description\nThe Mercer Island Rotary Club ran a successful Half Marathon for 35+ years and following the pandemic\, we turned our attention to Pickleball and are excited to bring you the first Annual Mercer Island Rotary Club Pickleball Tournament. Rotarians are colleagues and friends connected by the strong desire of Service Above Self. We lead hands on service projects and fundraisers to support local organizations working on housing & food security and this Pickleball Tournament is a fundraiser and we thank you for your support. We lead and sponsor both local projects and projects around the world with both financial help and direct hands-on support. The real work of the club is done by volunteering with others with a shared passion to improve lives here and abroad. We look forward to seeing you on our new pickleball courts August 23-25\, 2024. \nRegister: https://pickleballbrackets.com/ptd.aspx?eid=4bf04a4b-4a28-4373-9413-8350136f7e35 \nRound Robin format (skill/age) WITH playoffs for Gold/Silver/Bronze for skills 3.0-4.5+. Age brackets will be determined following the close of registration\, but will strive to be close to under 50 & 50+ events. \nPlayers will self rate and can not play lower than their USA Pickleball Tournament Player Rating (UTPR)\nTournament Director reserves the right to correct underrated players. \nFriday – Women’s Doubles\nSaturday – Mixed Doubles\nSunday – Men’s Doubles \n\n\nAdditional Information\nPayment is required to register – Early registration $60 + $15/event through May 15. Standard registration $75 + $15/event through Aug 14. Registrations made after the deadline\, Aug 14th\, will be $90 + $15/event.\nPricing is per person \nFormat:\nALL Round Robin with playoffs for Gold/Silver/Bronze. All games/matches are win by 2\nMost Round Robins are 1 to 15 but may change based on the number of players in the event. If an event has 7 or 8 teams\, round-robin matches will be 1 to 11 by 2.\nTop 4 teams go to the playoff (Lead in matches are 1 to 15 with the Gold Match with the option of 2/3-11w/2 or 1 to 15.
