More info coming soon\n\nThe Mercer Island Rotary Club ran a successful Half Marathon for 35+ years and following the pandemic\, we turned our attention to Pickleball and are excited to bring you the first Annual Mercer Island Rotary Club Pickleball Tournament. Rotarians are colleagues and friends connected by the strong desire of Service Above Self. We lead hands on service projects and fundraisers to support local organizations working on housing & food security and this Pickleball Tournament is a fundraiser and we thank you for your support. We lead and sponsor both local projects and projects around the world with both financial help and direct hands-on support. The real work of the club is done by volunteering with others with a shared passion to improve lives here and abroad. Age brackets will be determined following the close of registration\, but will strive to be close to under 50 & 50+ events.\n\n***Ratings:\n• Even though DUPR is the only rating listed for public view\, we are using DUPR only as a guideline. All rating systems have their pros and cons. Players will self-rate and we will also be using your previous tournament rating (PBR) as our determinant\n• Please update your self-rating in your software profile before you register. You may only play up .5 from your self-rating\n• If you feel that a player is playing out of their skill\, please contact the tournament director using the “contact tourney” button. We will then evaluate tournament history and various ratings (including DUPR) to determine if a player/team needs to play at a different skill. Please be aware that this is a manual process and does not happen automatically\n\nUsing the Franklin X-40 ball\n\nAll paddles must be USAP sanctioned tournament approved.\n\nFriday – Women’s Doubles\nSaturday – Mixed Doubles\nSunday – Men’s Doubles\n\n\n\n\nAdditional Information\n\n\n\nPayment is required to register – Early registration $60 + event fees through May 15. Standard registration $75 + event fees through deadline of Aug 13. Beginning Aug 14 late registration will be $90 + event fees\nPricing is per person\n\nFormat:\nALL Round Robin with playoffs for Gold/Silver/Bronze. All games/matches are win by 2\nMost Round Robins are 1 to 15 but may change based on the number of players in the event. If an event has 7 or 8 teams\, round-robin matches will be 1 to 11 by 2.\nTop 4 teams go to the playoff (Lead in matches are 1 to 15 with the Gold Match with the option of 2/3-11w/2 or 1 to 15.
