DESCRIPTION:Tournament Description\n\n\n\nVery Fun Round Robin format WITH playoffs for Gold/Silver/Bronze for skills 3.0-5.0+. TD may combine brackets as needed to ensure quality play.\n\nRegister: https://pickleballtournaments.com/tournaments/5th-annual-medford-summer-classic-by-pig\n\nFlat rate of $60 for early registration (through Feb 28) good for up to 3 events\nBeginning Mar 1\, flat rate registration will increase to $70\nAny registrations after the deadline will be $80\n\n***Ratings:\n• Even though DUPR is the only rating listed for public view\, we are using DUPR only as a guideline. All rating systems have their pros and cons. Players will self-rate and we will also be using your previous tournament rating (PBR) as our determinant\n• Please update your self-rating in your software profile before you register. You may only play up .5 from your self-rating\n• If you feel that a player is playing out of their skill\, please contact the tournament director. We will then evaluate tournament history and various ratings (including DUPR) to determine if a player/team needs to play at a different skill. Please be aware that this is a manual process and does not happen automatically\n\nUsing the Franklin X-40 ball\n\n\n\n\n\nAdditional Information\n\n\n\nFriday – Senior Men’s & Women’s Doubles (age events 50-64\, 65+)\nSaturday – Mixed Doubles (age events under 50\, 50-64\, 65+)\nSunday – Men’s & Women’s Doubles\n(50+ players may enter both Senior MD/WD events (Friday) and the open MD/WD events (Sunday)\n\nFinal age divisions will be determined by ages of registered players\, but will strive to be similar to under 50\, 50-64\, 65+\n\nFormat:\nALL Round Robin with playoffs for Gold/Silver/Bronze. All games/matches are win by 2\nMost Round Robins are 1 to 15 but may change based on the number of players in the event. If an event has 7 or 8 teams\, round-robin matches will be 1 to 11 by 2.\nTop 4 teams go to the playoff (Lead in matches are 1 to 15 with the Gold Match with the option of 2/3-11w/2 or 1 to 15.
