DESCRIPTION:Tournament Description\n\n\nSave the Date for the 5th Annual Turkey Shoot (Nov 21-23)\n\nRound Robin format (skill/age) WITH playoffs for Gold/Silver/Bronze for skills 3.0-4.5+. Age brackets will be determined following the close of registration\, but will strive to be close to under 50\, 50-59\, & 60+ events.\n\n\nRegister: https://pickleballtournaments.com/tournaments/5th-annual-turkey-shoot-by-pig\n\n\nNumber of total matches will be determined by number of players in the event. This may change up to the time of play as “life” happens to players and facility requests may be made. Players are guaranteed a minimum of 3 matches.\n\n***Ratings:\n• Even though DUPR is the only rating listed for public view\, we are using DUPR only as a guideline. All rating systems have their pros and cons. Players will self-rate and we will also be using your previous tournament rating as our determinant\n• Please update your self-rating in your software profile before you register. You may only play up .5 from your self-rating\n• If you feel that a player is playing out of their skill\, please contact the tournament director. We will then evaluate tournament history and various ratings (including DUPR) to determine if a player/team needs to play at a different skill. Please be aware that this is a manual process and does not happen automatically\n\nIndoor play on up to 10 temporary courts on a tennis surface\n\nPickleball Is Great reserves the right to refuse service at anytime\n\nUsing the X-40 ball\n\n\n\n\nAdditional Information\n\n\nPayment is required to register – Early registration $45 + $15/event through Aug 31. Standard registration $60 + $15/event through Nov 12. After registration closes (beginning Nov 13)\, late registration will be $75 + $15/event.\n\nPartner must register within 7 days or be moved to the waitlist\n(Age breaks based on registration\, but will strive to be close to under 50\, 50+\, 60+)\n\nFriday – Women’s Doubles / Men’s Singles (mini singles)\nSaturday – Mixed Doubles\nSunday – Men’s Doubles / Women’s Singles (mini singles)\n\nFormat:\nALL Round Robin with playoffs for Gold/Silver/Bronze. All games/matches are win by 2\nMost Round Robins are 1 to 15 but may change based on the number of players in the event. If an event has 7 or 8 teams\, round-robin matches will be 1 to 11 by 2.\nTop 4 teams go to the playoff (Lead in matches are 1 to 15 with the Gold Match with the option of 2/3-11w/2 or 1 to 15.
