DESCRIPTION:Description\nUSSP thanks our tournament partner\, Pickleball Is Great for providing operational support for the 2024 USSP South West Zone Championship presented by Humana powered by Pickleball Is Great. \nRegister: https://pickleballbrackets.com/ptd.aspx?eid=ef1d298c-926c-4c3a-870b-f5de1b983bc0 \nA special thank you to Humana for being the title sponsor for the USSP Championship Series of tournaments for 2024. \nUSSP South West Zone Championships is an Age/Skill tournament for ages 50+\, ages are in 5-year increments. AGE SPLITS WILL BE COMPLETED AFTER REGISTRATION CLOSES. If Ages are combined medals will be awarded to players in each 5 year age split. Events will be held for Men’s and Women’s singles and doubles as well as Mixed Doubles. \nRegistration plus $15 for each event. USSP/SSIPA members will receive a $10 discount. Registration opens on June 1st\, 2024 and closes on October 15th\, 2024. \nThis tournament is US Senior Pickleball approved. \nTo join USSP\, go to USSeniorPickleball.com\, only $20 per year. Multi-year payment discounts available. \nThe tournament will limit registration to 600 players\, or when the tournament director deems the day’s events are full. \nBrackets/Events will be round robin with pool play for events with large numbers of teams\, single elimination brackets to follow. Players are guaranteed 4 matches per event. More play for your money\, \nFriday 11/1 Women’s Doubles & Men’s Singles\nSaturday 11/2 Mixed Doubles\nSunday 11/3 Men’s Doubles & Women’s Singles \nBrackets/Events will be round robin ONLY (Pool play for events split into pools – usually 8 or more teams\, single elimination brackets to follow.) \nPlayers are guaranteed 3 matches per event. \nThe Tournament Director Reserves the right to change the format of play as needed. \n\n\nAdditional Information\nUSSP has a points system to award prizes to the top finishers each year (USSP members only). In the past\, prizes with a retail value of $20\,000 were awarded to the top 10-point winners in each age group for both men and women on an annual cycle. \nNo cash will be awarded. \nOn-Site vendor spots by the Pueblo El Mirage Club \n\n\nRefund Policy\nRefunds will be available up to 2 weeks before the tournament registration closing. All refunds will be charged a $15 processing fee. Emergency refunds will be issued based on documentation and tournament director approval. \nThis is an outdoor tournament.
