DESCRIPTION:Description\nWelcome to another GREAT Round Robin Tournament with playoffs for Gold/Silver/Bronze Medals \nWe have moved from the KINO Sports complex to the Tucson Racquet & Fitness Club with 12 lighted pickleball courts \n2/1 THURSDAY – 50+ MIXED DOUBLES\n2/2 FRIDAY – 50+ MENS/WOMENS DOUBLES\n2/3 SATURDAY – UNDER 50 MENS/WOMENS DOUBLES\n2/4 SUNDAY – UNDER 50 MIXED DOUBLES \nALL EVENTS ARE\nROUND ROBIN FORMAT\nWITH A “SHOOTOUT” OF THE TOP 4 TEAMS\nFOR GOLD\, SILVER\, AND BRONZE MEDALS\nSee FORMAT tab for details \nALL events are “Skill / Age”\nNO MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED TO PARTICIPATE IN ANY EVENT \nEach player must pay at time of registration \nEarly Registration $55 – Only November\nRegistration $70 – Only December\nLate Registration – $85 – Only January\nVERY LATE – $100 – AFTER 1/31/24 \n$15 per event \nPickleball Is Great reserves the right to adjust any player rating as well as combine divisions as needed. \n\n\nAdditional Information\nFORMAT DETAILS:\n3 teams are a double round robin 1-15 win by 2 switch sides at 8 – all teams to playoffs. The top team based on results will have a bye while the bronze match of the 2nd & 3rd place teams play the bronze match 1-15 win by 2. The winner of that goes to play the gold match with the team that was on the bye. \n***All gold medal matches are offered a 2/3-11 win by 2unless the TD needs to make a change due to weather/time issues. We will offer the 1-15 win by 2 as an alternative based on a case-by-case basis*** \n4 to 7 teams are games 1-15 win by 2 switch at 8. The top four teams move forward to the playoffs. 1 v 4 & 2 v 3: these are the “lead-in” matches that require a referee. Winners play each other for gold. Both non winners play for bronze in the same 1-15 win by 2 switch at 8 format. \n8 or more teams are split into pools. The matches depend on the number of teams (see above). Only the top two from each pool move forward. It’s a crisscross playoff. Pool 1 1st team vs Pool 2 2nd team and at the same time Pool 1 2nd team vs Pool 2 1st team. Those games are 1-15 win by 2 switches at 8. Winners play each other for gold. Both non winners play for bronze in the same 1-15 win by 2 switches at 8 formats. \nIf any division has 15 teams or more\, that will likely be broken into 3 or more pools. (I have many players are asking to play up to “fix” their rating… so no combined medals are awarded). \nOnly one medal per player per event. Medals are awarded based on how players played (not as entered). \nPickleball Is Great Reserves the right to refuse service at anytime to anyone \n\n\nRefund Policy\nRefunds will be available up to 1/31/24 with a $15 processing fee.\nUp to 50% can be requested after that.\nEmergency refunds will be issued based on approval. \nTHERE MAY BE UP TO 50% REFUNDS FOR WEATHER RELATED CANCELLATIONS.
