USSP South West Zone Championships is an Age/Skill tournament for ages 50+, ages are in 5-year increments. AGE SPLITS WILL BE COMPLETED AFTER REGISTRATION CLOSES. If Ages are combined medals will be awarded to players in each 5 year age split. Events will be held for Men’s and Women’s singles and doubles as well as Mixed Doubles.
Registration plus $15 for each event. USSP/SSIPA members will receive a $10 discount. Registration opens on June 1st, 2024 and closes on October 15th, 2024.
This tournament is US Senior Pickleball approved.
To join USSP, go to USSeniorPickleball.com, only $20 per year. Multi-year payment discounts available.
The tournament will limit registration to 600 players, or when the tournament director deems the day’s events are full.
Brackets/Events will be round robin with pool play for events with large numbers of teams, single elimination brackets to follow. Players are guaranteed 4 matches per event. More play for your money,
Friday 11/1 Women’s Doubles & Men’s Singles
Saturday 11/2 Mixed Doubles
Sunday 11/3 Men’s Doubles & Women’s Singles
Brackets/Events will be round robin ONLY (Pool play for events split into pools – usually 8 or more teams, single elimination brackets to follow.)
Players are guaranteed 3 matches per event.
The Tournament Director Reserves the right to change the format of play as needed.
USSP has a points system to award prizes to the top finishers each year (USSP members only). In the past, prizes with a retail value of $20,000 were awarded to the top 10-point winners in each age group for both men and women on an annual cycle.
No cash will be awarded.
On-Site vendor spots by the Pueblo El Mirage Club
Refunds will be available up to 2 weeks before the tournament registration closing. All refunds will be charged a $15 processing fee. Emergency refunds will be issued based on documentation and tournament director approval.
This is an outdoor tournament. There will be no refunds for weather related cancellations.
