For those who are on the list of needing partner(s), you MUST find a partner by Monday, August 14, 2026 and your partner MUST complete the registration including payment by August 1, 2026. After that date, you will be pushed to the waiting list.

San Diego Senior Games (SDSG) Pickleball Tournament is returning to Melba Bishop Recreation Center on August 20-23, 2026.

This is a Qualifying year for the National Senior Tournament in Tulsa 6/30/27 – 7/8/27

All players will be notified by text messages about their court assignments. Please ensure that your profile is updated with the current cell phone and “Opt-In” for text is checked. You are responsible for reporting to the match on time.

All events will be round robin pool play with medal round or as specified by tournament director. START TIME FOR ALL EVENTS WILL BE AVAILABLE AFTER 8/15.

What does it mean to be registered?

* Player in a doubles event; both players have registered and both players have paid their tournament fees within 14 days of the first player.

You or your team could be moved to the waitlist:

* If your partner (doubles) has not registered/paid within the 14 day window

**Tournament Format Details**

4 & 5 teams in Pool/Round Robin – games are 1 to 15 win by 2

6 & 7 teams in Pool/Round Robin – games are 1 to 11 win by 2

All lead in games (to the playoffs) are 1 to 15 win by 2 (for example: top four teams, 1 vs 4 & 2 v 3 (first round of playoffs are called the “lead-in matches”)

Bronze Matches 1 to 15 win by 2

Gold Matches are the players choice of 2 out of 3 to 11 win by 2 OR 1 to 15 win by 2

Tournament Director reserves the option to combine events as needed if events do not fill. If events are combined, awards will be based on the original event and not the combined event. Registration may stop at any time once the daily population capacity has been hit.

Sanctioning/Rules: This is a non-sanctioned tournament and will follow Official USA Pickleball rules & USA Pickleball Equipment Requirements. (UPA-A only approved paddles are not allowed for this tournament.)

Equipment standards:

It is the players responsibility to confirm their paddles in on the approved USA Pickleball equipment list

Registration Fees: $85 per person until 7/31.

Late Registration Fees: $125 per person 8/1 on

Event fees: $20 per event per person (when signing up with a partner, he/she will have 14 days to complete the registration otherwise the team will be moved to waitlist).

Pickleball Brackets will collect $5 per event per person with the maximum of $10 per person. For example, if you play 3 events, you will pay $10 for pickleball brackets fees. THIS FEES IS MANDATED BY PICKLEBALL BRACKETS.

The tournament is using Stripe.com as a third-party service to collect registration fees.

On the day of event, please arrive early to complete the SDSG waiver form at the registration tables. MINIMUM 30 Minutes before the posted start time.

We reserve the right to refuse service at any time.

Refund Policy

CANCELLATION DEADLINE – July 31, 2026, 11:59 Pacific Standard Time.

Withdrawals BEFORE August 1, 2026 will receive a full refund minus nan admin fee of $15

Withdrawals AFTER August 1, 2026 will receive NO refund. No exceptions.

pickleballtournaments.com service fees (usually $5 or $10) are NOT refundable

Refunds will be issued after the completion of the tournament.
