Qualifying year for the 2027 Nationals Senior Games in Tulsa OK

Round Robin format WITH playoffs for Gold/Silver/Bronze for Recreational (3.0 and Under), Intermediate (3.5) and Advanced (4.0 and Above) events for players 50 and above. Age events each 5 years within the three skill events (recreational, intermediate and advanced).

Early registration $55 + event fee (through May 31)

Beginning June 1, registration will increase to $65+ event fee

Any registration made following close of registration (beginning July 30) will be $80 + event fee

Event fee: $20 for Mixed and Doubles events, $25 for singles events

* Even though DUPR is the only rating listed for public view, we are only using DUPR when there is a significant discrepancy. If players have a USSP rating then that is what is used. If players do not have a USSP rating then the self-rating is used.

* Please update your self-rating in your software profile before you register. You may only play up 1 from your rating.

* Scores are reported to DUPR

*. If you feel that a player is playing out of their skill, please contact the tournament director. We will then evaluate available data to determine if a player/team needs to play at a different skill. Please be aware that this is a manual process and does not happen automatically.

Bracket Formats:

3 teams/players (only if necessary, we will try to combine any 3 team/player divisions with the closest age division possible)

– Double-RR, games 1 to 15

– Top 2 teams advanced to Gold Medal match

– 3rd place team automatically receives Bronze medal

– Gold – 1 to 15

4-5 teams/players

– Single RR, games 1 to 15

– Semi-final (4 teams) – 1 to 15

– Bronze – 1 to 15

– Gold – 1 to 15

6-7 teams/players

– Single-RR, games 1 to 11

– Semi-final (top 4 teams) – 1 to 15

– Bronze – 1 to 15

– Gold – 1 to 15

Brackets of 8 or more teams will play 2 pools and the formats will be as above. The top 2 teams from each pool will advance to semi-finals.

Outdoor Age/Skill tournament on tennis surface. Age/Skill – age groups as primary determinate within skill events (recreational, intermediate, or advanced)

WSSG reserves the right to refuse service at anytime

USSP has a points system to award prizes to the top finishers each year. In the past, prizes with a retail value of $20,000 were awarded to the top 10-point winners in each age group for both men and women on an annual cycle. In 2023, the prize points will begin in January and run through the end of December.
