The Hawai’i Pacific Health ESPN Honolulu Open features 33+ indoor courts. Initiating streamlined pod format. Divisions: Amateur, Open, and Collegiate Invitational.

All players who register before August 1, 2026 and play in the ESPN Honolulu Open are entered into a drawing for a roundtrip for two to Japan!

What does it mean to be registered?

* Player in a doubles event; both players have registered and both players have paid their tournament fees within 7 days of the first player.

You or your team could be moved to the waitlist:

* If your partner (doubles) has not registered/paid within the 14-day window

ROUND ROBIN WITH PLAYOFFS OF THE TOP TEAMS (For non-prize money divisions)

**Tournament Format – Amateur (No prize money)

4 & 5 teams in Pool/Round Robin – games are 1 to 15 win by 2

6 & 7 teams in Pool/Round Robin – games are 1 to 11 win by 2

All lead in games (to the playoffs) are 1 to 15 win by 2 (for example: top four teams, 1 vs 4 & 2 v 3 (first round of playoffs are called the “lead-in matches”)

Bronze Matches 1 to 15 win by 2

Gold Matches are the players choice of 2 out of 3 to 11 win by 2 OR 1 to 15 win by 2

Tournament Director reserves the option to combine events as needed if events do not fill. If events are combined, awards will be based on the original event and not the combined event

Sanctioning/Rules: This is a non-sanctioned tournament and will follow Official USA Pickleball rules.

Equipment standards:

Amateur all approved USA Pickleball rules

Pro (open) will have the option for the UPAA-approved paddles in addition to the USAP paddles.

There will be a head referee on site to settle all rules questions and settle disputes. Matches will be self-refereed, although we will do our best to recruit referees for finals matches.

We reserve the right to refuse service at any time.

$20 admin fee for all refunds until 9/15/26 – please allow 72 hours for requests to be completed

After 9/15/26, refund REQUESTS will be processed after the tournament completes – Up to 50% refund

Up to $15,000 in prize Money for Mixed, Men’s, & Women’s Doubles

The Pro/Open Division is designed for the 5.0 and up players

Payouts will be based on the # of registrations in each division.
